Elizabeth White
FOUNDERS
I am Elizabeth White, I was 62 when I wrote my viral essay “You Know Her,” about my own experience with long-term unemployment and financial insecurity later in life. Thousands responded, “me too.”
In early 2022, I joined the Ideas42 Venture Studio as an entrepreneur, where I had the privilege of nurturing and developing my affordable coliving idea.
NUUage Coliving was born out of the recognition that housing is vital for our long-term financial security, overall health, and well-being.
It’s rooted in the idea that pooling our resources and aging together can help us lower our housing costs, combat isolation and loneliness, and build community.

FOUNDERS
I am Chido Samantha, I have spent a decade building systems for how people find each other and how organizations run. That work taught me that people do not get stuck because they are not trying hard enough. They get stuck because the systems around them were never built with them in mind.
Housing in later life is one of those systems. The options have been to stay alone in a house that no longer fits, or move into a facility. There has been almost nothing in between.
That is the part I build. At NUUage Coliving, I lead marketing operations and the programming, gatherings, and tools that bring people into it.
I believe the answer to aging well is not a facility. It is people, and a way to find them. NUUage exists so that the next chapter is one you design, with people you choose.
